Connie's Jane...in all her glory!

First of all, thank you so much for your encouragement and cheerleading throughout this entire process. I love you, my quilting sisters, so much!

The signature block, done like Jane's, although she had 5603 pieces and hers was in wartime 1863.

And here she is. 159 inner blocks, 54 pieced border triangles, 54 solid triangles, 4 kite corners. No repeat of pattern or fabric....Hallelujah! I added the solid muslin border to stabilize it while it's quilted and to form the scallops at the end of the triangles after quilting. Whew...do I really have to quilt it? Yep. I do. but the pressure's off.
Now, it's off to the mountains! Can't wait!

  2. O M J! Oh my Jane!! What a testament to faithfulness : ) I look forward to seeing this special quilt in person someday. -- I think your 4 UFO's for the year are now considered DONE (and then some)!
